It’s All About You!

You are probably reading my blog because you are an aspiring internet marketer, or you want to be a better internet marketer. This post is dedicated to YOU. I want you to assess yourself; you can do this through some simple “tests” that can be found in this post.

First, let me say this: Not all marketers possess great internet marketing skills. Some are just average, while some don’t have any idea of what they’re doing (and they call themselves marketers… tch!). Read on to find out if you’re a great marketer, an average marketer, or a pseudo-marketer!

Do You Possess Great Marketing Skills?

Here is our little “test”. Actually, it’s not a test, but if you agree to almost all (or even better, all) the statements, then you truly are a great marketer.

You have the power to convince someone through “creative persuasion”. I’m not sure if I had mentioned this term already, but basically it means you have the ability to twist, turn, and combine words and make anyone say “yes” to your proposals!

You can always get out of trouble, or you ALWAYS have an excuse for everything. Let’s say a potential client asks you, “Why do you have low rates if you deliver with quality?” You might answer “It’s because we are aiming to build our client base and at the same time, create a great, long-lasting relationship with our clients.” when in fact you’re simply outsourcing the work and earning a lot of profits!

You know why certain advertisements have certain elements. Have you ever said, “Ah, they used green as their ad’s color because it appeals to environment-conscious people and those are their target audience!” or something like that? If yes, then you know how to analyze and read other marketers’ minds — that may prove that you’re a good marketer too!

You have a wide and extensive vocabulary. Amazing. Lucrative. Extravagant. Massive. Absolutely. Dominate. eed I say more? If you use those pretty and enticing words a lot, then it’s most likely that great marketing skills run in your blood!

People don’t realize that you’re already marketing something to them! This happens a lot, and it’s F-U-N. Sometimes, when I market products, people don’t even realize that I’m trying to squeeze some cash from them. They just say “Wow, that is great! Let me know more about it.” and things similar to that. This is one of the best things that can happen if you have really good marketing skills. People will think that you’re JUST trying to help them, but in reality you’re trying to help them AND gain some benefits because of them!

So, what? Do you possess great marketing skills? I know this post was a tad short; I think I had missed a few more items. Nonetheless I think I already made my point clear! If you can convince anyone and if you’ve got the skills to manipulate other people’s actions, then you must be a person with brilliant marketing skills.

Please leave your comments! They’re always appreciated.

Announcements

Instead of creating a whole new post for some announcements, I decided to put them here. I’m sorry if it’s quite distracting! Nevertheless, you should find these sort of interesting.

I will be busy, I will not have much time to post.

I might not be able to post often next week as exams are coming. Due to that, I am welcoming guest posts from anyone as long as you know how to write quality articles about making money online, internet marketing, blogging, and just about any other webmaster-related topic.

This blog is nearing the 100 subscriber mark so if you have a smaller blog, then you might want to consider this offer. If you’re interested, please send me an e-mail through the contact page.

I just released the “Simply Lightweight” WordPress theme!

Here’s another WordPress theme from me. It’s a minimalistic, fast-loading, and ad optimized theme that you can use for free. It’s called “Simply Lightweight” because

Wow, my RSS reader is fast! This had just been recently posted and I knew about it immediately. Anyway, I had to agree with your 2nd, 3rd and last point. Some people don’t realize I’m selling something to them already.

I’m looking forward to your future posts!

A good read Lucas. Thanks! I really found the points rather humorous and just remembered a few incidents when my “marketing skills” kicked in, even when I was a child! ;)

By the way, the theme looks really sharp! Way to go!

Also, I’ll make sure that I get a guest post in before it’s too late!

Nice theme, Lucas (you know I am minimalistic in tastes :) ). Sidebar parts probably blend too much with each other but that’s tweakable.

On topic of knowing if I possess - I don’t… :)

Maybe I don’t have those skills that’s why I didn’t succeed in internet marketing.
