Myself and another guy have been working on this new site at NinjaReports.com, which basically allows users to review clickbank products. Unlike most product review sites, the idea is to give objective reviews based on what people around the web are saying. I figure this will be much more useful over the average review site that just hypes up products and doesn’t provide any actual value …so if you have purchased a CB product feel free to submit a review (and of course any constructive feedback about the site is welcome )

To be honest, review sites that promote clickbank products are where I’ve made most of my money, and I still do really well with them. However, I’ve never made a site that allows the actual users to submit their own reviews. I’m half expecting this to fall flat on its face. But the idea of Ninja Reports isn’t just to make money - it’s also just kind of a fun project. Especially since up till now I’ve always promoted sites via SEO and software submissions and I’ll be marketing this site a little differently.

Other news…

The MSN Loophole Results Update

I’ve been following the MSN Loophole by Chris Rempel and Dave Kelly for about 6 weeks so far. You can read my last post for a background on this method which everyone is trying. So how is it going so far?

Well, I’ve noticed that MSN/Live as a search engine is NOWHERE NEAR as quick as google or even yahoo at crawling the web and indexing new pages. Whereas I can easily get indexed in google in just a few hours, it takes several weeks to get indexed in MSN (and even then they only show the homepage and not other pages on the site). Only a little over half of the blogs I’ve made have been indexed, and I’ve been building links to them for several weeks. Of course all my sites are indexed in google and yahoo but just not MSN.

Being that MSN is so slow to do much, none of my money sites have got top page rankings yet. Google is actually sending me traffic, an average of around 20-30 visitors a day per blog. So across all the blogs I’ve made for the MSN loophole I’m getting a couple thousand unique visitors a day from Google but that is NOT the point. I’m still waiting to get real results from MSN. From everything I’ve read, no-one has got any real results from this method yet. I still believe it will pick up as MSN finally spiders more pages, but this is definitely not an overnight type thing. I’m still interested to see what happens in a month or so from now.

A lot of people have been talking about the MSN Loophole by Chris Rempel and Dave Kelly, and since I’m always interested in SEO (it’s where 95% of my traffic normally comes from) I picked it up when it first launched on the 5th. I have also been a customer of Dave Kelly’s Linkvana system for several months and since that really delivers amazing results I figured this MSN Loophole thing had to be decent.

The Idea Behind MSN Loophole:

The theory behind this MSN Loophole thing is fairly simple - basically the idea is to game MSN/Live search by building a whole ton of blogs on different class C IP’s, having one page “money” sites, and randomizing links to your money sites on your blogs. When MSN’s spider crawls your blogs pages, each time they come back, they’ll see different links - and they count each link they find as a “new” link before they realize the old links are no longer present. Build enough blogs, and MSN’s spider will be all over your pages, and spidering all the “new” links pointing to your money sites. That means a LOT of inbound links and first page rankings for just about any keyword you want.

The actual product shows you exactly how to do all this, including how to automatically add content to your blogs and the script to randomize links. You will definitely need to buy the MSN Loophole guide before even thinking of doing this by yourself. And all of this might sound complicated, but it’s not hard at all once you get going with it, and the MSN Loophole guide explains it much better and in more detail. There’s also no specialized skills or anything you’ll need to put this in motion.

Does The MSN Loophole Work?

Evidence suggests, yes, it does. Go to MSN/Live search (live.com) now and do a search for the following keywords:

“walking shoes”
“reducing debt”
“get rid of debt”
“poor credit rating” etc…

Notice the #1 ranking site is just a one-pager site, all with the same template. These are test sites Dave Kelly has got to rank number one just to prove this system works. I also know Chris Rempel and Dave Kelly both have a reputation for putting out quality products, and this isn’t the typical kind of junk you see in the IM industry. They’re also adding a lot of video’s and new FAQ’s all the time (plus support is excellent as most people will tell you). And the fact that Dave has hit #1 rankings for ultra-competitive terms like “walking shoes” proves that this is VERY powerful stuff.

Problems with the MSN Loophole:

To do this properly and really make a lot of $$$ you’re going to need a couple hundred bucks for the MSN loophole guide, a couple more scripts the guide goes through, and a host that offers multiple class-C IP addresses (I recommend SEOhosting.com, a hostgator company). It will of course also take you several hours of work to set up a lot of blogs and money sites.

Also, don’t expect instant results. Dave Kelly himself states (and he is 100% right) how MSN has a 2-5 week cycle for indexing. So it can easily take you up to a month to get indexed in MSN right now, compared to Google where I can easily get indexed in under 24 hours. So the salesletter where it says “Imagine doing it next week for free” is a little misleading.

So is all this a walk in the park? Not exactly. But remember what you put in is what you get out of it. The more money you spend and the more dedicated you are, the more you’ll make - simple as that. So try to quit with the “I don’t want to spend much money” and “I don’t want to get out of my comfort zone” BS etc. You will NEVER get very far if you keep up that kind of attitude. Don’t be afraid to throw stuff out there and really make things happen for yourself.

Anyways - Bottom Line:

So far I’ve built 90+ blogs (some on old domains over a year old) and around 20 money sites to take advantage of this MSN loophole method. That’s more than what is recommended, but I am honestly really excited about the potential of this. We’re talking about thousands of dollars of PASSIVE income per month once more of my blogs and money sites get indexed. It’s really easy to scale this up and make way more, too. MSN’s spider is definitely slow, but from my experience with SEO, everything the MSN Loophole guide goes through makes a lot of sense. So I’m willing to really put a lot into this. I’ll keep you guys updated with rankings, income reports and all that.

You Can Pick Up The MSN Loophole Here >>>

PS: If you are familiar with SEO and have thoughts on this method, or you have purchased the MSN Loophole guide, I would like to hear from you - just comment below. I read every comment that gets posted here and welcome any discussion.

This isn’t related to Internet Marketing, but I’m posting this here just to vent. I was driving home from uni the other day coming home from an exam when I turned into another car and messed up the paintwork on both cars pretty bad. The crash was entirely my fault so I’m glad the driver of the other car wasn’t too mad. Pics of my car before:

… And after:

Although the damage isn’t that bad, I have to pay my insurance company $2600 just to fix this (on top of the $3200/year insurance I already pay for my car). This is in AUD (about 0.65 USD = 1.00 AUD), but it’s definitely really expensive and something I could have done without. Being 19 and male means insurance is insanely expensive, especially with my car.

Anyways, I’ve been pretty busy the last couple of weeks with exams but will get some more posts up on this blog now that I have some free time. I’m planning on writing more on SEO since that’s what I know most about (especially the new MSN loophole method which a lot of people are talking about), but if you would like to see Net Strife cover some specific internet marketing topic, comment below and I’ll see if I can write about it.

I checked my own links, and for a couple of products I have been promoting (I have tons of niche sites that promote products on clickbank), the affiliate ID isn’t being passed through.

When people started talking about how clickbank was having tracking problems and sales were declining, I just ignored it — but now I have no doubts that something fishy is going on. Clickbank has always been a great company to deal with for me so I really hope they can sort this out.

If you promote clickbank products as an affiliate, check your affiliate links now.

I was playing this cool Fantastic Contraption game last night with my brother, who said something like “I wish I had the idea to make a game like this - these guys must be making a fortune”. It got me wondering whether having a unique idea and useful product was enough by itself to become successful, without knowing much about marketing. Unfortunately, however, my experience is that you can make ANYTHING sell with the right marketing - whereas having a great product doesn’t guarantee success.

In fact, I regularly come across great products — in huge markets with plenty of demand, I should add — that don’t sell, simply because the product owner doesn’t know how to market their product effectively. I think of brilliant products I use everyday like PromoSoft that are mostly unknown. On the other side of the coin, there are totally useless products that sell into the thousands everyday, because (you guessed it) the product owner knows how to market effectively.

I’m regularly involved with promoting products off ClickBank as an affiliate, and one thing I have definitely noticed is that the top gravity products that sell really well aren’t actually that good. Most of them are hyped-up “get rich quick” scheme’s that get promoted by thousands of affiliates just because they offer a generous 75% commission. And when you do a Google search for reviews of a product on clickbank, you’ll find all of them are simply disguised affiliate marketing “reviews” that just want you to buy it so they’ll get a commission from it.

There was a thread on the Warrior Forum about this a while back (I’ll try to dig it up) where the forum admin (who I am sure makes at least $1 million per year) went on about how providing value isn’t the most important thing to make money - it’s your system. Without a proper system for generating traffic, promoting the right things and converting your visitors, you don’t make money. There are marketers who have a system nailed down for generating huge profits each day. But the quality of products they sell simply don’t have much to do with how much they money they make.

I believe that you definitely SHOULD provide 100x the value someone ever pays for your product. Always try to underpromise and overdeliver to people, regardless of what you are selling. Your profits may not dramatically increase, but you will have a reputable business that genuinely helps people, and that’s becoming something of a rarity with online businesses today.

Anyways, I’d love to hear your thoughts on this issue - Does having a great product guarantee success? Or is your marketing strategy more important? I know a lot of people will disagree with the above. Let me know what you think.

Most successful internet marketers agree that having your own product and affiliates is the #1 way to make a large income. In fact, if you look at the top players in the internet marketing field you will find that most of their sales when they launch a new product come from their JV partners and affiliates. So how do you actually go about recruiting affiliates?

First, if you have a digital product like an ebook, software or membership site, I recommend you set it up through Clickbank and let them handle your affiliate program. This gives you exposure to over 100,000 affiliates signed up at clickbank, and it’s just easier. Your affiliates won’t have to sign up and they’ll promote you because they KNOW they’ll get paid. You can of course set up your affiliate program with your own in house script like JV manager if you want, it’s totally up to you. I personally only use clickbank to sell products.

Anyways, once you have an affiliate program set up, here’s what you can do to get affiliates to sell your product. I’ve tried each of these myself, and they should work fine in any market.

Getting The Ball Rolling For Affiliates To Promote Your Product - Use Forums:

The first thing I do to pick up affiliates is go to forums. Specifically, you can use the Warrior Forum and Digital Point Forums. These are two very popular webmaster forums, with hundreds of thousands of members.

Digital Point has a separate affiliate forum where you can post a new thread advertising your affiliate program. If you sell a product through clickbank, for example, just go to their clickbank subforum and post a thread about your product and its affiliate program. This is GREAT free advertising. It only takes about ten minutes, and you’ll typically get hundreds of views. Just go through what commission you offer, your products price, and everything affiliates need to know. If you are an active member of digital point with lots of posts, you’ll get plenty of people promoting your product.

With the warrior forum, what you can do is post a WSO (Warrior Special Offer) for $20. This is WELL worth it for the price. As the name implies, this has to offer something “special” for members of the warrior forum. What you can do is make a WSO asking members to promote your product, and offer one-on-one support, as well as a free website to promote your product and other promotional material.

In addition to posting a thread on both digitalpoint and the warrior forum, you can advertise your affiliate program in your signature on these forums. This will come up at the bottom of every post you make.

After You Have Posted On Forums About Your Affiliate Program:

You want to pick up affiliates from:

people already promoting products similar to yours as affiliates;

product vendors that are selling a product similar to yours;

your customers

To find affiliates that are promoting products similar to yours, I use Affiliate Elite (my affiliate link), which is a really neat piece of software that can give you a list of every website promoting a product. You can then get the WHOIS information for each site, and contact the owner asking them to promote your product too. You can find bloggers, website owners, and other marketers that already promote a product competing with yours - then just send a friendly JV request. Make sure you have a strong argument for why they should promote your product over your competitions.

You will also want to do JV’s and partnerships with product vendors selling a product similar to yours. I have to give Mike Filsaime credit for this one. Let’s say you have a generic weight loss product, and you find someone selling a product on how to build abs. These 2 products aren’t directly competing but they appeal to the same kind of person. So, you can make a deal with the person selling the product on building abs where they promote your weight loss product to their customers, and you promote their abs product to your customers. It’s beneficial for both sides.

In terms of recruiting affiliates from your actual customers, this is obviously much easier if you are selling an internet marketing or B2B product. I haven’t personally sold a make money product before so it’s harder, but you can still tell your customers that they can refer their friends to your product and make commissions. You’ll naturally get much more word of mouth exposure and customers becoming affiliates if you have a great product that actually works.

How To Make It Enticing For Affiliates To Promote You:

The main things affiliates look for in a product to promote is:

The strength of your sales copy, and how well your website converts visitors into buyers;

The commission % they get for each sale they send;

The price your product is sold at;

The quality of the product itself

Therefore, you want to invest in writing a compelling salesletter that converts, offer your product at a high price point, give affiliates high commission (you can give affiliates up to 75% in clickbank, which is what I recommend) and create a good quality product. To justify a higher price you will want to include additional bonuses and everything else that makes your product a good deal for the buyer.

Of course this post is just scratching the surface of some of the things you can do to build a successful affiliate program. I’ll touch on some more things later.

One of my favourite ways to test if a market is profitable and generate some sales is to build simple software applications, and submit them to download sites. There are hundreds of software download sites (like download.com, softpedia, best freeware download, tucows etc) that get tons of traffic. If you go to download.com, it shows you how many times each program has been downloaded, just to give you an idea. You’ll find that many software programs have millions of downloads and that’s just from download.com alone.

The good news is that you don’t need to be a programmer to tap into this huge traffic source. In fact, I can put something together in about half an hour that is likely to get accepted into download.com and any other software directory, that will then easily get hundreds of downloads in the next few months. And I don’t know anything about programming (I’m mostly too lazy to learn )

Anyways, here’s how to do it…

Things you can submit to software directories:

Most people don’t realize that download.com accepts simple ebooks and video’s. Basically, what you’ll be doing is making a simple .exe file, that opens up your little application. It can just consist of a few articles, a video from youtube, or a simple form the user fills in. Anything cool that a user might be interested in, you can submit to these software directories. I regularly go to places like Widget Box looking for simple things I can turn into an .exe file and submit to download.com.

So let’s say you want to submit a really simple program that has a video from youtube and a few articles. You’ll make money from it by promoting an affiliate product from clickbank (or anywhere else) in the software program you’re submitting. When users download your program, they’ll see your advertisement and can visit your site.

How to make your simple software application:

It’s actually really simple. Just open your favourite HTML editor like dreamweaver or frontpage, and make your application. In this case we’re just going to have a few articles and a video. So say I’m in the weight loss niche, I’ll find a few articles on how to lose weight, and go to youtube and find a nice weight loss video I can embed. Then have a simple pitch for a clickbank weight loss product in the software that you’ll get a commission on if the user buys it. It’s just like making a normal site.

When you’re done, you need to turn the HTML file into an .exe file. There are several software products that can do this for you. My favourite one is HTML Executable (non affiliate link) which is really an awesome product that does everything you’ll ever need. Sometimes, I also use eBook Maestro which is simpler and also does the job fine. This will make a .exe file that will open up your HTML page when the user double clicks on it.

And that’s it! You now have a simple software application that can be submitted to major download sites.

How to submit your software application to download sites:

This is the most important part. First, you need to make a PAD (Portable Application Description) file, which basically just describes your software including things like the date of release, version number, the URL of where to download the software, size of the file etc. You’ll be making this with PadGen. You just fill in the blanks and the software makes the PAD file for you.

Now that you have made the PAD file, you are ready to submit the PAD file to download sites. To submit to hundreds of download sites automatically I use PromoSoft (non affiliate link) which is BY FAR the #1 tool to submit your software to hundreds of download sites. This will save you a ton of time over submitting your software to sites manually. You just import the PAD file into promosoft, and let it submit.

Promosoft doesn’t submit to download.com, so you will need to submit to that site seperately. To do this, just go to upload.com, create an account, fill in the form and submit your software. It normally takes them a while to approve your software and put it on their site for people to download unless you pay for it to be done faster. However, once your software is approved and published on download.com, it can easily get a ton of downloads, more so than every other software directory on the net COMBINED. So I always submit to download.com.

More general information:

When you use PromoSoft and submit the PAD file if your software to hundreds of download sites, it actually does (believe it or not) have some SEO benefits since the software download sites you submit to will link back to your site. However, the main reason to try this method is simple because it often produces a lot of traffic with relatively little effort.

I’ve been doing this since last year and have submitted well over 100 software applications to download.com and through promosoft, which accounts for a large portion of my income. I submit programs in all kinds of niches. It’s a little ‘hit and miss’ which software applications you submit really take off — some of the things I submit get thousands of downloads a month and make sales every day, while others fizzle out after just a few hundred downloads, and some hardly ever get downloaded. The more programs you submit, the more money you’ll make over time. You can in fact make a full time income doing this without really even having a proper website. Normally, I don’t spend over 1 hour creating something to submit, so it’s usually well worth the effort of making something.

By the way, when you do this, make sure it’s valuable for the person downloading it. Don’t just create a blatant advertisement. It HAS to have something useful, otherwise it won’t get accepted at download.com or any major software directory.

Here’s an example of a simple application I made in the earth 4 energy niche, just to give you a basic idea. When you download this, it has a few articles on the topic, and an ad for a product on clickbank. I make money when people download it, click on the link, and buy the product.

If you want to know more about how this works, feel free to comment below. I don’t know if all of the above sounded complicated, but this method is actually quite straightforward once you’ve done it a few times.

Net Strife was recently sold on sitepoint for a BIN price of $1500 (you can see the auction here) and for the next few months we plan on building up the blog with more great content and contests. My name is Louis Edwards and with a couple of other people I plan on covering a lot of new topics - from SEO, to PPC/AdWords, Affiliate marketing and more.

In case you’re wondering who I am, I’ve been doing internet marketing (mostly affiliate marketing with clickbank) for a couple of years and earn a very comfortable living doing it. I brought Net Strife just on the fly, since I thought the blog had some good quality posts, and we definitely want to add to it. Of course I want to make sure this blog maintains its level of quality and so I’ll only be posting things that GENUINELY will help people build an online business - mostly stuff that I actually do myself, so I know it works.

Anyways feel free to comment below if you want to know anything else.

Put simply, SEO (Search Engine Optimization) is the art of getting your page ranked well in search engines like Google, Yahoo and MSN. I regularly read internet marketing forums like the warrior forum and digital point, and I have to say …there is a LOT of bad advice out there. Most people really have no clue. So what would I recommend when it comes to doing well in SEO and getting your site ranked high?

Well, it basically comes down to on page optimization (doing things on your site to get it ranked higher, like having a relevant title tag, meta tags and so on) and off page optimization (getting links to your site from other sites). Off page optimization is far more important than on page optimization. The most important thing for ranking highly in Google is links, and lots of them. So here are a few free ways to get links to your site…

Forum posting: Posting on forums is not just good for direct traffic; it also gives you SEO benefits. What you’ll be doing is linking back to your website in your forum signature. Most forums let you do this, so that every time you post on the forum, there is a link back to your website at the bottom of your post.

Article writing: I’m not a fan of this since it takes a lot of work, but it’s popular on places like the warrior forum. This involves writing articles, and submitting them to article directories with a link back to your site. The main article directory BY FAR is EzineArticles.com. Like with forum posting, article writing is mainly used to generate direct traffic, but the links your get back to your site will boost it higher in the search engines. By the way, with article marketing, only submit to 2 or 3 article directories — mass submitting articles pretty much never works.

Directory submission: There are hundreds of directories that let you get a free link to your site. The traffic you get from these is going to be very low, if any. It’s also fairly time consuming. However, it’s good to get your site indexed initially. You’ll need a good piece of software to help you with this - the best one being Directory Submitter by Brad Callen.

Social bookmarking: If you have a site with great content, social bookmarking can (potentially) give you tons of traffic. This basically involves submitting your site to major social sites like Digg, StumbleUpon, MySpace, Delicious etc. NetStrife in fact already gets a decent amount of traffic from StumbleUpon. But anyways, social bookmarking will get you a lot of links back to your site, and it is well known to have good SEO benefits. Submitting your site manually rather sucks, so you will need a tool to help you. I strongly recommend Bookmarking Demon (non affiliate link).

Blog commenting: When you comment on people’s blogs, you can enter your URL, and this gives you a link back to your site when your comment shows up. Some blogs use nofollow (which makes the link useless in Google’s eyes) but there are still many blogs that do not use the nofollow tag. There is actually software out there to allow you to automatically scan for blogs to comment on, such as Real Link Finder ( a free tool) and Fast Blog Finder.

These are all fairly well known tips, just in case you are not familiar with SEO. In the next couple of days I’m going to go over some really REALLY powerful ways to build links, that are not really well known, and have worked well for me. Stay tuned.

Wow, it’s the first ever Saturday of October! I guess it’s a brand new start for some of you. Anyway, I’m here to share some great reads that I have encountered this week.

Shane from WhoIsShaneWoods.com gives some tips on affiliate marketing. He tells us which programs to look out for, and shares a couple of pointers. On a side note, I will be reviewing his blog some time this week, so you better watch out for it. It’s going to be exciting, I’m telling you.

Mattaw from MoneyBites tells us that taking action is the ONLY way to make money online. I wholly agree with him; how can one make money if he’s being idle all day? I know there are some autopilot sites which can generate a good stream of income, but if you don’t work on it at first, then you’re not going anywhere.

Ikki from Rauru.com had written a guide on how to create killer titles for your blog posts. I know most of you guys are bloggers, so I wanted to share this with you. Remember, your title is your first (and most probably your last) chance to captivate your readers. Without a great title, your awesome content would not be given any attention!

Jason from The University Kid shares a great tip on how to gain traffic by making use of social groups. He had a pretty good idea, I myself have got to try it! Check it out, especially if you’re looking to boost traffic to non-webmaster related websites. Hint: What “social people” are talking about these days would most likely be the best niche. Top bands, celebrity talks, and all that. You get the picture.

As for some exciting news… tomorrow, I’m going to post something that would make you realize how much money you’ve “wasted” on ads. Also, I had just completed the first phase of my proxy journey. Some interesting posts about that as well, hopefully… Well, the bottom line is, you should be expecting a lot of posts regarding internet marketing next week, so stay subscribed!
